Parental Involvement
Why it's Important to get Involved
You can keep up on what is going on with your child. This will allow you to give them any support they need.
Being involved in your child's education can make you an active participant in what they are doing. This can help you build a stronger relationship and show them you are as invested in their learning as they are.
You are your child's favorite person. Seeing you involved in their classroom and being able to introduce you to their friends will bring them great pride.
How can you get involved
Volunteering for field trips is the easiest way to get involved in your child's education. These opportunities do not come around often, so jump on them when they do.
Volunteer, Volunteer, Volunteer :)
Every month I will send out a newsletter with parent volunteer shifts that are available. These shifts will be an opportunity to come into the class and help with a fun activity that I could use some extra hands for .
Every month, in the newsletter, I will include the things we will be working on. If you think you may be interested in coming in and helping me teach a lesson on something or if you are an expert in something that could enhance the student's learning, let me know and we will get you in there to educate your child and their peers.
Communication is Key
There will be several ways I will communicate with you and that will give you the opportunity to communicate with me.
1.
Newsletter: I will provide a monthly newsletter to the parents that inform them of the things that are going on in the classroom that month.
2.
Bloomz: This is an online program/app that will provide you with a way to communicate with me through email. It will also give you up to date grades and behavior information for your student.
3.
Email: There is an email link under the contact me tab that you can use at any time.
4.
Agendas: I will communicate information through the studeent's agendas daily. This will provide specific information about what happened on a certain day to day basis.
